We've been building, repairing, and refinishing decks across Loveland, Mason, Maineville, Madeira, West Chester, and the surrounding Greater Cincinnati area for more than two decades. A deck looks simple from the surface, but most of the longevity comes from things you can't see once the boards go down: proper footings below the frost line, joist spacing and flashing that prevent rot, ledger attachment that won't pull away from the house. We don't cut corners on the structural parts, because that's what decides whether your deck is still solid in fifteen years.
Most of our new builds are single-level or multi-level decks attached to the back of a home, often connecting to a sliding door or a kitchen. We also build freestanding decks, ground-level platforms, and pool decks where appropriate.
What goes into a new build:
Composite decking from Trex, TimberTech, AZEK, and similar manufacturers has come a long way. Modern composite resists rot, fading, splintering, and insects. It costs more up front than pressure-treated lumber, but the maintenance savings over fifteen to twenty-five years often make it the cheaper option long-term. We install all major brands and can walk you through the differences during your estimate.
If your existing deck has a solid frame but the surface is showing its age, repair and refinish is usually a much better value than a full rebuild. Common work:

We work with pressure-treated lumber, cedar, and composite decking (Trex, TimberTech, AZEK, and similar brands). Each has different price points, maintenance needs, and lifespans. We'll walk through the tradeoffs during your estimate so you can pick what fits your budget and how you actually use the deck.
Yes. Some homeowners want to order their own composite brand or specific hardware. We're happy to install materials you've sourced. Just keep in mind that any manufacturer defect or warranty issue is between you and the supplier.
